Good tip with the screw "gaskets". I had one of the screws come off after about a week. Not cool.

I called Comptech and told them they should add some lock/split washers in with the hardware kit to prevent this. They sent me an extra set of screws - free.

Don't know if they'll take my suggestion. You just have to take care not to add too much height to those screws since rubbing is still an issue.

ok i just installed mine today.. now the box seems like a pain to get in perfect but it mounted
on my 01, do you need to use that long bracket with the bend in it

i only have 2 bolts holding it down, but when i put the cover on the hook prop holder is kinda seen but i dont know if the prop is going to drop down and move over to fit

does it have to be perfect in the slit to work? i am going to grind the nubs down now... and see but that box was a bish to get in

One bracket has a 90 degree bend. That is the front mounting bracket. The long bracket with the slight bend is the fender bracket. My box fit perfectly with all three screws after I moved the wiring harness.

Make sure you re-connect the electrical connection to the air control solenoid valve. I didn't and the CEL drove me crazy until it was pointed out to me.....doh!

Not with them connected. If you pull one end ball link connection off, then yes. it is a simple 10 second process.
