Default Those with Headers

I got the DC SS header, got it installed years ago but what got me wondering is does everyone with the same header or different header have the same issue? On my setup it made my exhaust tilted, the driver side canister hangs right about a 1/4 inch from the stock exhaust cap with the stock hangers . Without the hanger and it tilts even higher, the passenger side however hangs lower cuz it's tilted. Now I'm wondering if it's the "flang" (not familiar with what that's called) on the header itself being made tilted that when bolting the cat or test pipe and exhaust on that it tilted the whole system like how it did or is something else wrong? The header itself was bolted/installed by a professional shop, no air leak whatsoever. The only way of making the exhaust hang normal is to use the stock hanger on the passenger side and use a aftermarket hanger (which is a bit longer) on the drivers' side, it hangs perfect but if I was to remove the hanger then the driver side would tilt. The car drives normal, no issue whatsoever but I know it's not normal. Any thoughts?

If you have a fitment issue, just go to a muffler shop and have them redo the hangers. Can't be more than $20 to weld on new hangers so it will hang correctly.

most exhaust shops have bucket-heads doing the jobs. they just slap them on and weld 'em up. shitty welds i might add. they dont measure anything.

Very true on bucket heads doing the job...
Oh and I didn't mean that it's the hangers fault, what I'd meant was the rubber hanger and not the hanger arm itself on the canister.

I have a comptech with not fitment issues. Shared sentiments with the DC sports units as not being a benchmark in quality...

the cheapest way to make sure everything is O.K. is to undo every blot from the header back, to ensure everything is aligned properly. Start with the header-to-cat bolts, then work your way back to release any unneeded tension in the system. perhaps this will cure your problem.

I was going to suggest the same thing. Just let the whole exhaust hang freely, and then tighen it up.

I've got a Fujitsubo header and Comptech exhaust and they both fit 100%.
