Default Throttle Body Porting

I recently port and polished my throttle body and bipassed the throtlle coolant lines with a splicer.I gained a significant amount of power and did the porting to spoon specs of 60 and 64mm top.Though recently my check engine light went on Problem: 2nd air injection system Incorrect air flow. It gave me a code p0411 and I figured it was due to the increased air I was getting- Has any one had the same problem ?

my guess is you switched your vacuum lines around. check the routing of the vacuum lines. it's not going to be because of the "increased air".

and how do you know you gained significant power? did you dyno it, or are you simply going by the typical cognitive dissonance.

this is the first mod i've done to the car, and could feel the "significant" difference through feel...I dont need a dyno telling me that.N E wayz I didnt even touch the vaccum lines so are you sure this could still be the problem?

sorry, but all you've "felt" is a placebo. no one can "feel" that small of a horsepower gain. unless you have super human sensitivity.

p0411 is a cross vac line (Incorrect air flow). This is the most common code posted, and it normally is posted when someone installs a CAI, or uninstalls one.

Unless you are stating facts, don't encourage other to damage their car the way you have done.

What you are feeling is an increase in throttle response. Since the diameter is larger than stock an equal application of throttle results in a larger increase is air. But when measured on a dyno you will probably find the same as others with ported TB's, no real increase in power.
