Default Throttle cable -> DBW conversion?

I know there was a thread a while back on this but for DBW -> throttle cable conversion.. I think people concluded that it would be too much work and too much of a hassle to do this.

But, do you guys think a throttle cable -> DBW conversion would be possible?

Things that will need to be taken into consideration:
ecu, vsa, cruise, throttle body, abs, engine harness, o2 sensor, etc..

The main benefit of this would be to run flashpro.

Ideas?

Actually there us a thread on a DBW to throttle cable conversation in the track and comp forum. Since he went to a k-pro ECU alot if the engine parts were left as is. I will bet he will sell you his left overs to get you started.

Flashpro for the DBW cars and KPro for the throttle cable cars. So that does not address his question.

didn't realize this thread was still going..

looked into it some more and it's definitely not worth doing. It is possible, but going to cost way too much.

As far as why... if you read the original post, I believe I stated that it was to run flash pro.

with flashpro you retain your oem ecu. This means you have the factory immobilizer among other things. Kpro is also a little buggy, there are a few issues with it and again you will not have factory immobilizer.

Do any of you that responded with usless comments actually have any real experience with EMS's, or are you just babbling and relaying things that you have heard or read?

I will be going with a haltech 1000 box.

i think conversion you wanted it's not DBW but getting compatible with Flashpro.
DBW is only one small part of that.
i guess among other parts you would need new Flashpro compatible ECU. so factory immobilizer need to be adjusted anyway.
anyway - looks like this never been done. and probably won't be this time either.
