Throttle cable, how tight?

Also, if the throttle cable is tighter than spec it will put pressure on the cable linkage and throttle plate if you really mash the throttle down. My choice is to leave some slack in the cable.

You can actually feel it on toe. That is when you hit WOT.. But I can't with my Ford... hmmm... Built tough.. you know the rest

I have adjusted my throttle cable to zero slack, Ive always done that on all my cars and never had a problem, the throttle feels more responsive.

any cable car, should have the cable adjusted to minimal to zero slack, note that in time the cable stretches thus creating slack, so be on top of it once in a while. you will feel it when the cable has too much slack, the car will have nothing at full throtle

It didn't on mine. The CC is controlled by the other cable that works independent (sort of) of the throttle cable. It holds speed as sensed by the ECU (I think) and will pull on the throttle as much as it needs to.
