Is there a vibration associated with the noise? Are you sure you got the driveshaft (propeller shaft) bolts tight when you replaced the dif?

Something similar happened when my dad ran over a large bolt and it got stuck in the wheel. Have you given a thorough check of your tires?

Seems to increase with speed/rpm. Have you done a thorough check of all wheels/wheel area?

Honestly it sort of sounds like a almost blown diff. Mine made the same noise for a few weeks and all the way to the shop. only got louder and louder.
