ticking noise from engine

Default ticking noise from engine

i have a questions, when i drove my '05 for a while and let it idle afterwards, it makes ticking noises. does anyone have the same problem?? thanx

Your car has a bad starter bolt.
Its too tight.

Im sorry, I was being "smart"
Its normal. Your pipes(exhaust) are just ticking and every new owner makes a thread of how their car makes a strange sound.

Unless its excessively loud you have nothing to worry about. It could be your exhaust pipes contracting as earlier mention or more likely your valvetrain since they are notoriously loud in our engines. If it is the exhaust pipes, the noise will continue even after the car is shut off. If you are truly worried about it take it to the dealership and let them diagnose it for free while its still under warranty.
