Default timing chain?

So my timing chain tensioner is messed up again, i have the awful rattle noise at start up after being parked for about 10 min... this is going to be the 5th time this thing is going bad. its really starting to get under my skin, any ideas why it keeps going bad?

Get one of the old tensioners, take the worm gear to a sandblaster, get it blasted and refit.

If this doesn't sort it, the timing chain may be defective and/or the guides are worn.

This has been discussed at length many times...perhaps a search may enlighten you further.
