Tire Roar
I'm getting a whats sounds like standard tire roar, but it's not an even sound but more of a high - low roar. I thought the brake pad could be rubbing or have a high spot but when I apply the brakes the sound doesnt leave.
I hear it the most at 60 km/h or 37 mph, and becomes very faint anything above that. Below that it's frequency lengths.
I will need tires soon, but this has seemed to come over night or atleast I had the stereo off and noticed it.
Does this sound like tire wear (SO2) noise or perhaps a wheel bearing? only has 20,000 miles

I've made that "mistake" too, posting about the Bridgestone tires.
It's Bridgestone Potenza S-02.
Not SO-2.

On topic:
You could "feel-up"
the tires to check for "saw tooth wear"
In one direction it feels smooth, in the other direction it feels like a saw.
If that is the case its tire wear.

Have you worn through some of the steel belts and they are showing? What about your tire pressures?
I noticed the inside right rear tire has slightly more wear.

I hate my computer system because you never know when looking up a part if a 0 is a O and a I or l is a 1

I like my ride, but to "feel up" might be excessive, I'll do it but I will have Pamela Anderson in my thoughts when I do
Thanx for the info.
* Update *
Had the tires checked. No problem.
Still have the modulating whine. (only 30k on the car)
My next thought would be that the wheel bearing is starting to go. Prehaps tightening the axle nut will eliminate the noise.
Any other ideas?
