I'm about to purchase a Toda Flywheel but I am not sure about the gains and losses... I know that the car will rev up faster but it will also rew down faster Other than that I don't know much...
Could someone with this mod give some reviews... about the driving pleasure and street driveability and such...
By the way, my car is already equipped with 4.57's...

Thanks in advence,

There is nothing wrong with an engine that revs down faster

Don't you lose torque when you add a lightened flywheel?

I am pleased with the performance and flexibility using a lightened flywheel. A minor downside is the need to be more careful in slow speed maneuvers (starts, especially on hills) as it is easier to kill the engine or slip the clutch to avoid it. For most driving it is a positive change.

I don't have one, but I would expect that idle would be a bit rougher.

I have a Toda in the car now, with an EOM FD and a ClutchMasters S1 PP so it is a good combo. I think the light flywheel is fine on the street with the street clutch, but with a grabby race clutch a light flywheel makes street driving even more uncomfortable at times.

I am also deciding between Toda and Comptech for flywheel and Mugen or ACT for pressure plate.

It does seem to slightly improve acceleration and throttle response.. if I was replacing a clutch I would always use the light FW, but it would not go to the expense of installing it alone.
