toda header installation problem

Default toda header installation problem

i cant get the toda header into position
any tips?
i tried from the bottom but the motor mount gets in the way
i tried gettin from top
but the ac line, the bottom area and the engine itself gets in the way

There is a thread written by xviper on the installation just in case you have not seen it yet.

I went through the top when installing mine and remember it taking some time in order to maneuver it correctly.

Use your scissor jack against the motor mount to move the motor a little to the left. Thats what I did when I installed and removed my Mugen header.

Support the engine with a jack. Then remove the engine mount. It'll go right in. I think the mount is only about 4 bolts to remove, very easy.

And yes, it was TIGHT! But with a little coaxing, it went it WITHOUT doing anything to the motor mounts. Put it in from the top, then go under and "persuade it".

Agreed! You don't have to remove the motor mounts at all. Just take your time and get rid of that POS stock header. Be careful not to scratch your valve cover in the process.

i jacked up the engine a lil bit to get it to rise up a little
and i took the toda and jabbed it through from the top
took some squeezing and maneuvering from top and underneathe i know i scratched it up a lil i was frustrated

I found it a lot easier once I removed the valve cover as it gave a little more room to position things, but... I'd definately try it without doing that first. If I have to put it in again I'd try again to see if I can get it in without doing that.
