I'd expect it to run a bit lean, how much leaner I can't tell you. I'd reccomend some type on engine management to tune for the different exhaust flow characteristics.

would emanage or safc be enough for it? would they be enough to boost like 9 psi as well?

An e-manage has been used on a Comptech SC up to 8psi. (AusS2000's car) My car runs 7.5psi with an E-manage. As far a VAFC/SAFC I wouldn't reccomend using one for any FI application. The AEM EMS is the most versitile, most expensive and most complicated option.

hehe in my own defense, i run a comptech sc w/ ac, toda header, comptech exhaust, and a VAFC (still untuned). no problems here, and it's been about 5k miles.

if you're going above the pulley that comes with the comptech kit, definitely look into replacing the ECU and getting new injectors.

i don't like answering a question unless i'm certain, but i'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong.

550cc injectors, high impedance and an emanage or EMS will do the trick.

I'm running the Comptech SC and Mugen headers/exhaust and felt it was running lean.

Since I haven't had it tuned yet (waited to install exhaust, waiting to resolve why my VAFC VTEC control no longer works, and waiting to install after cooler), I went ahead and bumped up the fuel ratio modestly across the board and a little more at exactly 5k rpm's, which is where I was getting a noticeable flat spot after the exhaust mods.

Just this change dramatically improved the smoothness of the engine throughout the rpm range, it completely removed the flat spot, and it feels a little stronger (especially mid-range).

Hopefully tuning will improve things even more.
