Default Toda ITBs

I will be ordering a set of Toda ITBs soon. I will most likely be getting them directly from Japan. I was wondering if there could be any compatability issues? I cant seem to find any info...

Thanks for the help,

Joe

You can purchase "mini filters" and put them on the end of each velocity stack. You can also get some spunge like inserts. I will be leaving mine open and just putting a small meshed screen to prevent any large debry from getting in.

Theres actually one guy in California running the Toda ITB setup. Looks kinda like the To-Luck S2k from Japan. He is also runnning a screen. Two sets were brought in to AKH Trading. The other set went back east.

Just wondering why you decided to get these? You have a good setup already. Why ruin a good thing?

How about a set of TWM or Hayward(Jenvey) ITBs? Those are made for the US market.

We have heard from very good sources that those make close to nothing (powerwise). Toda is the other option but until we see numbers on those we just dont know.

Well I figured I might as well try the Toda ITB's out. Not many people have them and I could be the first test subject to put up some numbers. I will also be putting on a Toda header this week along with a T1R 70mm next month. I want to get my hands on the ITBs and get them tuned (with EMS) by the end of May.

Why would I be ruining a good setup?

By the way I figured I should just ask you guys... In order to get a REALLY good price on my Toda header I would need to buy two. Would any of you guys know some one who would be intrested (locally)? I can PM you guys the price if you like.

Thanks for the help,

Joe

So do any of you guys think there would be a difference between ITBs for a Japanese car or a US car? I will most likely be having them brought in from Japan, that's why I am asking. I don't want to get the ITBs and then they dont fit

Thank you Bluesaint for the recco..

Jkfox, one thing to note is that Toda, nor TWM sell a complete kit, I spent $1900 on the TWMs (todas are expected to be over $2500 like their other ITBs). I spent at least what I paid on the ITBs on fabriacating parts and buying other parts to get them to work (filters, injectors, TPS, catch can, Heater plumbing, etc..)

Toda even notes this in the FAQs..
http://www.todaracing.com/itbfaq.htm

I am selling a complete TWM kit as I ran out of money getting them to work, this kit will save you well over a $1K.

Also TWMs are 52mm, the todas will be 50mm...

PM me if interested, patrick
