How much did you put in?

I really wouldnt worry, Im not sure what the indication is at that level of the dipstick, but on the X's I believe L is one qt low... If you try to scale that past where your oil level is I'm sure that will be a fraction of a quart...

Go hit Vtec a few times and you'll be right where you need to be

I've filled like 5.4-5.5 qt before...

Best time to check your old is on a level surface after it has sat for several hours.

With that said, overfilling your oil is NOT good, you can do serious damage (as documented here a few times)

When the engine is cold and it's on 'H' then your good

The dipstick looks like this:

H
X
X
X
X
X
X
X
X
L

If you are at the line below the H at the top of the X's then you are just full. If your oil shows just a little into the H, it's really fine. If the oil shows fully above the H, it is anywhere from a bit to high to far too high (depends how far above the H). All of this would be measured after engine is cool for a long time and sitting on level ground.

It really sounds like you are fine if you are just to the line below the H or just a little in to the H.

Got it?

All of you that suggest checking the level when the engine is cold, please explain why Honda tells us to check the oil level at every fill up...
