Default Torque Sensor replacement

Going to replace my Torque Sensor due to a shaking steering on start up then works ok when the car is driven. I have the factory service manual and basically it says remove the two bolts and remove the sensor. There are posts of people who removed the Torque Sensor also loosened or removed the rack alignment assembly. For those of you who have done this is it necessary to mess with the rack alignment assembly?

Thanks

How much is the torque sensor? Where did you get it from?

This is where I got mine from:

http://hondapartsnetwork.com/part/62...ensor-Assembly

I also ordered these:

http://hondapartsnetwork.com/part/91...-Rack-Guide-Wr
http://hondapartsnetwork.com/part/92...-Rack-Guide-Wr

I cannot remember which one I actually used, unfortunately. I _think_ it was the 43mm wrench.

The Sensor has been discontinued and is no longer available, there are several places on the web that say they have it but when they check their sources no luck. The part number is 53101-S2A-A02 if someone knows where to get one please let me know.

Thanks

Did you try Honda Parts Network: http://hondapartsnetwork.com/part/62...ensor-Assembly

I ordered mine from them in July of last year. It would be sad to hear that it has been discontinued.

Avionics86, did you end up having to loosen or remove your rack to replace the torque sensor?
