Default torque specs

Anybody know the torque spec for the below bolt with the tool in it? I've noticed a small amount of oil leaking from around it, so I want to make sure it's tight. Thanks for your help!

There is an aluminum washer on that plug just like the drain bolt. Very rare for that to leak, no pressure there.

Also note your TCT is missing a bolt, but you may be working on it currently.

Thanks! It's just a picture I found while searching for the torque specs, so it's not actually my car. Billman, can you confirm that the bolt needs to be torqued to 22 ft lbs?

Well if that plug has been removed before, you may need a new washer to stop the leak.

is it tight as it is? if you're not replacing the washer, give it a nice tug?

if you're replacing the washer, 33 ft/lb would be nice and tight.

if you're looking for factory torque spec...there's an ap1 service manual that is widely circulated for download on the world wide web and you can search for it there.

My bet is the washer should be replaced, to get the best seal. 33ft-lbs seems correct, for an 8mm Allen head hex key.

Yeah, more reasonable. Guess as long as new washer is starting to smoosh, you are ok.
