Default Torque steer

I'm having a strange problem while accelerating, most noticable when on doing about 45-70mph in 6th gear accelerating it will actually pull to the right. When I left off the acclerator is will go back to the left a bit. I just started noticing it when I filled the tires up to 32 psi and the temperature went down alot. One of my tires (the rear pass) a kumho MX that I bought from TireRack seems to be of a different mold (the sidewall seems to stick out a half inch or so more than the rest of the tires). I bought all the tires at the same time as well.

I think this is exactly what he means, its the way I understood it.

Brimstone is correct, I bought them all from TireRack a few months ago at the same time and the rear passenger sides sidewall for some reason sticks out further than the rest.

When I originally got the car it has some aftermarket wheels on it and some low pro tires and it had the same problem but worse. I had the dealer put some stock wheels on it off of another S2000 (2002), and the problem seemed to disappear.

I just went out and measured the height of the side wall on the top part of the tire and the rear passenger side is about a half inch shorter than the driver side rear.

I think that, that is the reason my car is pulling to the right due to the smaller diameter on the passenger side.

The wheels I have now are the stock 02-03 wheels/rims off of another S2000, it had some cheap sonar tires on them so I thought kumho's may have been better.

I think I may just end up buying 2 new rear tires.

No insult intended, but could the tires be mounted wrong wheels?
Front AP1 wheels are 6.5 wide, rears are 7.5 wide. If this got mixed up before the tires were mounted, then the overall tire height could be different for a given tire size depending on whether it was mounted to a 6.5 or 7.5 inch wide wheel. If you have a 225mm tire mounted on a 6.5 on one side and a 7.5 on the other, you would certainly feel this. (the sidewall sticking out differently is a clue)

Also, ANY height difference from one side of the axle to the other will be very noticable in an S2000.

Bingo - you got the answer. Not only are the front wheels narrower, they also won't seat on the rear hub. That's why its sticking out more. A very dangerous situation.

I wish that was the problem but both tires on the back are 225/50/16's Kumho Ecsta MX's.

I really think that one of them came from a different mold and that because its height is different than the rest its actually causing the car to pull to one side while accelerating.

I'm going to bring it to a tire dealer this week and have them order me some new kumho MX's for the rear.
