when i let off it goes back like nothing happened.

this might not be your problem, but i had something similar happen when i had low tire pressure on one of the tires due to a screw in it, it always pulled to one side when i accelerated. check it out. could be something else....

Possible reasons:

1. Tire pressures are not the same from rear tire to rear tire. One is lower then the other. Check both and make sure they are the same. This has happened to me.

2. Both rear tires have different wear. One has worn more than the other or have a different build quality. Try a different set of rear tires, possibly borrow a set from a fellow S2K owner near you to try this. This has happened to me as well.

3. Rear alignment is off. Get a new alignment done. Haven't had to go to this yet, because the other two reason were fixed through tire pressure (the first time) and then a different set of rear tires (the 2nd time).

4. Worse case- diff or half shaft is going out. Let's hope it doesn't get to that. This hassn't happened to me...... yet.

Sorry, I edited my post and I think you meant 4th case. Yes, it would IF you are still under warrenty. I am not, so I just have to be careful now.

Check the tire pressures first. That is most likely your problem.

Torque steer will DEFINITELY happen on the S2000, if the rear tire pressure is uneven. It is even worse than a FWD car if the pressure is far off.

I'll add another vote for tire psi.

alright i'm currently on my way to alaska for the day.

but i'll have him check it, he said he would. and i'll let you know what happens.

yes usually torque steer is associated with FWD cars but i didn't know what else to call it, since well the torque from the engine was steering the car a lil.

but when ur not accelerating the car jumps back to where it was.

thanks.
