Default tranny swap

I have an 06 s2k and Im currently looking into finding used trannies. Does anyone know if any ap2 tranny is compatible with the 06? Will I have any problems doing the swap? Couple people have told me I might have problems with the o2 sensor. Does anyone have any knowledge on this? TIA

Any trans after 04 will bolt into your 06.

The 00-03 trans will also go in your 06 after you swap the output flange to the AP2 flange.

All bellhousings are the same for all years.

I was just wondering why he would need an 04+ to bolt into the 06? Why would you need to swap anything for the 02 trans in to the 06? (sorry, I want to do a trans swap, so I'm asking!) Thanks!

The prop shaft bolts are larger on 04 and later transmissions/differentials.

Wouldn't you get speedo differences when you put an F20 (USDM AP1) trans into an F22 (USDM AP2) car?

Not much but some.

3,97% going from AP2 to AP1.
And its going to display..... ( hoping I'm getting it right ) ...... faster then you're really going.
IOW, when it shows 50 you're actually doing less.
Something like 48.

How much would the difference be between new and worn tires?

thanks for all the replies. I just wanted to be sure of no issues when swapping out trannies. So after 04 + I wont need anything but the tranny and it will just bolt right up?

TIA
