Default Transmission whine

Hello ,do you guys think the bearings in the tranny should be a recall item?
I have not heard of a bearing giving out in a tranny in so many cases
as the S2000. Other cars never have a problem in their lifetime.

What's "so many cases"? Give me some statistics. I've seen one post here about the tailshaft bearings and that looked like oil starvation.

My guess is a vast majority of S2000's have no transmission problems.

Other car's DO have transmission issues. Go visit some Subaru forum some time. The WRX's blow tranny's left and right if you crank of the boost at all.

Do you even know if the "whine" in your tranny is actually from your tranny or if it's even abnormal? Every tranny has a certain degree of whine - it full of meshing gears. This car's tranny is NOT inherently bad nor does it have a whine that is considered a problem. Maybe you've been listening to the wrong people.
I don't see why Honda should do a recall on a non-existent wide ranging issue.

It sounds like metal scraping, even in netral and also with the
clutch in. Any other ideas ?

While the car's moving, while it's sitting still? Need more details. First thing I think of with scrapping sounds is the brakes.

Details are always good. Only when the car is in motion does this
occur. Sounds like it's coming from the tranny.

No recall or TSB on the transmission's bearings or any other bearing on the car for that matter.

He's saying "Should" it be a recall item. Like it's a common failure.

For a car with unknown history, miles, condition, and the mystery what the problem is, I'd say "NO" Honda shouldn't recall or issue a TSB.

I changed mine just last week..

I showed a few people the bearings and the transmission and all seem to think its bearing faliure more than oil starvation..
