Default Trunk Latch and Led Light out

Here are the symptoms: The electronic trunk unlatching does not work, via remote or button in the center console. You can here the remote's solenoid click under the dash when you push the button on the remote. Im not sure if it happened before or at the same time, but the LED light does not work either.

The issue lies in the following details:
Trunk latch has power going to it, but the led light does not. The other two brake lights share a fuse with the LED light, and they work fine. I can not find a blown fuse anyways.

Of the three wires headed to the latch one has power, is it possible this is unrelated to the function of the latch and is to determine weather the trunk is open or closed? I think it would be a ground circuit and not a hot circuit.

Any previous exp or ideas are appreciated..
