As the title states... Searched but couldn't find it.... Opened my trunk closed my trunk... Light says open... Tried several times opening all the ways I know... Button , fob 1 fob 2 , manually.... What's up,? Trunk is clearly closed.... Tried pulling the battery.... And then fiddling with the mechanism gently.... Nothing

 

Did you check out the switch that senses when trunk is open? This is also how car knows to turn on (or off) the light inside the trunk so you can see in there. If this switch thinks trunk is open, both the dash light that shows you trunk is open, as well as the light inside the trunk itself, will be on.

 

Basically we ended up wiggling a bunch of wires near the fuel filler neck and it went off... Previous owner of the vehicle had some sketchy wiring that i didn't notice... I'll probably be looking for another OEM wiring setup for that area.
