trying to replace clutch

Default trying to replace clutch

im trying to replace the clutch. i undid the tranny mount. electrical connections. undid the clutch line and shift fork. and i was about to undo the driveshaft. but the allen bolts are stripped to hell.

anybody know a good technique to get them off? im having some trouble with it

soak them with wd40 or pb blaster

u can

1 try to rotate them with a vise grip
2 try to file some to have 2 parallel sides then u could use a metric open wrench
3 cut them off with a dremel and then extract the tucks
4 cut an edge across to use a big screwdriver (but I guess u can't fit one in there)
5 u can weld a nut over it and use the nut to unscrew them

I have had good luck using a torx bit in stripped allen heads. Drive in a slightly large torx bit with a hammer. Usually works pretty well.

Slightly larger torx bit, AND vise grip on the outside. There's plenty to grab.

Pull the vise grips and the torx together. I have seen this many times and this method has never failed yet.
