TSB 00-057 1, 2 Shift
Noob here. Searched the TSBs Re: the 1 - 2 shift. So, here is what I don't get. It's pretty clear that there is a problem, Honda figured out how to correct the problem. I've searched a lot and there are several recommendations for transmission fluid that helps but I haven't read anything about people just taking their car back for the fix. Just bought mine and it is Honda certified. Should I try to get the dealer to carry out the TSB or try one of the magic elixirs? FYI I have about 14,300 miles on it and I'm guessing no one has changed the MTF.
"It's good will consideration. So you can always try..."
Do you mean that in order to create 'good will' with customers, Honda may consider it?
Or do you mean that it's a good idea and that it should be considered?

Since yours is an '05, it depends on the serial number whether the TSB applies. Honda made a fix somewhere in the production run that year. There is another thread on here somewhere which lists the cut-off serial number for the fix which is a new 2nd gearset with the proper tolerances.
Also, the dealer needs to drive the car and get clearance from Honda to perform the TSB.
