Look at the avatar, make your own decision.

Until recently there have been two FI camps for the S2000. The easy, do it youself bolt on guys (like me) like the SC's. The guys who have more access to either workshops and dynos, or huge piles of money prefer turbos.

The reason is that the SC's really are a kit, whereas most of the turbo applications have been partial kits with other requirements and tuning required. This is still true to a degree, but the Ultimate Racing Turbo kit seems to be quite comprehensive. You will still need to take it to a tuner however.

None of this relates specifically to the 04 but then not that much has changed. Any of the known systems will need some tweaking.

If you want power try the turbocharged...the best and you will feel the difference than the s/c....
I recommend Turbocharged..

Hate to be pedantic, but if you want power, then the SC and turbo solutions both provide. If you want mid range torque then that is where the turbo shines.

quite honestly, i would go with the SC. I've had quite a few problems in the past with turbos...spikes and whatnot...and you absolutely must keep them tuned. A blown turbo sucks. I honestly think the SC is more reliable. Plus, I don't care what anyone says...the turbo is only getting you more midrange power (and not enough for the effort you'll put in tuning and monitoring)...buy a smaller pulley for the SC (not that expensive at all), and you're beating a turbo charged s2k already. Everyone has a different opinion on this subject, you're really going to get nowhere because people swear by one or the other (usually the one they have), but from "my" past experience with both sides of the field...I'd have to recommend the SC. You're going to love either one. Now if you plan on shooting for 360+ hp to the ground, I'd have to say go with the turbo. But if you're comfortable sitting at 270-310 (definitely plenty!), go SC in my opinion.
