My new alarm came with a Turbo Timer Option. Tried it the other day and it works. Leaves the car running for 2 and a half minutes before the engine shuts down. Im not sure however what impact this will have on a stock S2000. Any comment appreciated. Better? Worse? No Difference?

would not have thought it will make any difference at all the name says it all "turbo timer" its meant for the cooling down period for the turbo.Usually you have the facility to adjust the lenght of time also.

No Difference, a turbo timer is meant to keep the car at idle while oil cycles through the turbo and it cools down.. There is no reason whatsoever to have this on a non turbo car..

Turbo timers are good for all motor cars, like a built up NA car. It cools the engine properly.

I think it wastes gas. If you drove the car hard, before you park, drive it nicely for a couple of miles... that's good enough.

Exactly right, the reason they were invented is because turbos got real hot and would coke up the oil in the bearing area without a cool down. It is a waste of equipment and fuel on a NA car.

20 miles a gallon when pushing the car...i don't think idling for 2 minutes will make a bit of difference on your fuel consumption.
