turn signal stuck on !
hey guys, just out of no where my car acted up, the damn right turn signal is stuck ON, (lit constant) it makes no difference if the car is ON or OFF and the ABS light is on as well, I pulled the battery to reset it, the ABS light is still on, the right turn signal was fixed for several minutes then RETURNED back, its the most unusual thing i have ever encountered..its to late for me to trouble shoot it but i was hoping maybe someone on here can chime in and point me to the right direction....tomorrow i will be doing the following
check to see if the ABS lines are intact
check brake fluid - already did that*
check all the fuses to see if its the reason why the right turn signal is on
btw i havnt done any recent modification to the car besides my gps which is just plugged into my 12v source, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Is it the turn signal light on the dash, the lights on the front/back of the car or both?
Try pulling fuses in the fuse box and see if you can make the turn signal light go out. If it does, the light is probably shorted to some wire related to that fuse.

Since your ABS light and your turn signal are both on, there is a possibility that you have a short between those two circuits. Check your fuse box area where your GPS is attached and make sure you don't have any stray wires hanging out somewhere or terminal clips that are making contact with neighboring clips.
If you don't have a multitester, now would be a good time to get one. Taking the fuse out for the turn signal should turn it off. You should then determine where the power is coming from by backtracking from the fuse. If it doesn't turn off when you pull that particular fuse, then you know the short is after the fuse.
Good luck.
