Let me start this off by saying that I did a search and couldn't find any info or dyno info on the Type One exhaust for the AP1...

I was wondering if anyone had this exhaust system, and what gains were found over stock... also how it compared to the Spoon N1 system... Either way I plan to mate the system with the Spoon 4-2-1 header... can anyone enlighten me?

the type one and the spoon are pretty much the same thing i have the spoon n1 and the spoon header and its a pretty damn good match up.

TypeONE is now called T1R which is different company from Type One Japan.

The T1R exhaust for s2k is not yet release. Prototype and testing has been made already. Here are more info about them from R&D Motorsports.

T1R Sports exhaust
-63mm pipe size
-single resonator
-sports type muffler (medium sound)
-cat back system
-90mm Titanium tip

T1R Power exhaust (Race version)
-70mm pipe size
-header back system
-single resonator
-10-15 hp gains
-bullet type muffler with 90mm Titanium tip

10-15hp gain on the race exhaust??!!! Good thing I live in Florida where we don't get emissions testing! I went to Top Gear today and heard the bad news before I read the new posts.... I was hoping to have my exhaust on before the Orlando HIN in June I'll find something to make up for it I'm sure........

 

Type One is technically a branch of Spoon Sports dedicated to modifying Type R models and S2000's

 

 

So is T1R a Japanese or American company?

I'm totally confused here.
