I have an invidia for my 04 and was trying to figure out a way to decrease the drone... without installing the silencers. I was trying to find a resonator i could weld in but they all seem to be in-line resonators. Is there a special name for the stock one, that sticks out the side? i dont wanna chop the pipe in half if i can prevent it.

 

The funny looking resonator on the stock exhaust is called a "helmholtz" resonator....
