I was about to head out for work this morning, but when I attempted to start the car nothing happened. I drove the car yesterday without any issues.

Here is what is happening:
Put the key in and turn to ignition - Dash lights turn on
I step on the clutch and push the start button
Some lights and radio momentarily turn off and I can hear an audible click but the starter doesn't crank at all

I searched the forum and think it could be the clutch switch?

 

sounds likea dead battery to me, the clicking is the starter not having enough power to crank the motor over

 

It's either battery or starter. My problem was startter

 

It has a single click but everything else works and has power. So I doubt its the battery.

you may have enough power in the battery to work the lights etc but not enogh to crank the motor over, if your lights dim when you try and start it then its deffo your battery

 

Try cleaning the battery terminals. Use a wire brush and reattach. If that doesn't help, get your battery tested so see if it's holding a charge. Check your ground strap too. You should do all this before messing with your starter.

 

did you try jumping it or push starting it?

Did you used to drive a ssbp 00 si?

 

I got home and disconnected the negative battery terminal and then put it back on and she started right up. Not sure what happened, I would hate to have this be a frequent issue.

I did drive an EBP Si that was later pated SSBP, Do I know you?

 

Check the battery terminals with a multimeter and check to see that your getting 12.6 volts,
