Under Dash Green plug?

Arrow Under Dash Green plug?

Hey guys i was just vacuming the car and noticed that this plug is not connected just wondering what is this plug? should it be pluged in or what????

It under the Steering column next to the Stereo....

There is a green plug with two blue plugs going in, now the blue plug with the brown wires is in, but the other one isnt..


I have provided a pic...

I beleive that is your CEL jumper.
Put a paper clip connection the 2 pins and it should read out any CEL codes on to the radio display.

Does it fit in the green socket? it looks like a diags plug that is normally stored in that green socket when not in use. That is my guess as we do not have that here in the US.

So if the green socket has not connections (that is how it looks to me) then leaving it out, or pluging it in should make no differance. You can do either with the same outcome.

I assume nothing in wrong with the car as far as you can tell? If yes, don't wory about it. If it was cirtical you would know it by now.

The 3 pin connector is a scanner Diagnostic port. The 2 pin is a SCS jumper connector, which can be jumped to get flash DTC codes.

Both ARE NOT on North American market cars with OBDII ALDL diagnostic ports.
