using oil relocation kit
i'm using a oil relocation kit, my question is can i leave the stock cooler in place or i have to remove the cooler?
Thank you |
I was thinking the same thing, the problem as I see it is getthing a reloation kit that will have a 24M banjo bolt instead of a 22M female banjot nut.
So I installed a Canton. |
when i bought my relocation kit it came with the bolt to hook the oil filter. but if i remove the stock cooler the bolt will be to big for the oil relocation adapter.
|
If you remove the oil cooler you will see what I mean.

I have an Amsoil BMK-13 Dual Remote Bypass Filter that uses an oil filter relocation unit similar to a PermaCool adapter.
I left the stock cooler in place. I've had this setup for about 4 years now, with no problems. |
I have an adaptor that replaces just the filter an screws onto the existing spindle over the stock cooler.
But I wanted to remove the cooler so I took off the spindle and cooler and used the spindle off a civic. http://s2000.byteserve.com.au/images.../IMAGE_166.jpg http://s2000.byteserve.com.au/images.../IMAGE_165.jpg http://s2000.byteserve.com.au/images.../IMAGE_167.jpg |

How did you seal up the inlet on the water pump and engine block?
