vafc vs standalone

which one would u guys prefer. whats the difference and how easy is it to tune?

Standalone is way more tunable and shouldn't be messed with by just anyone. VAFC on the other hand you can tune on the fly as long as you have the right gauges and pretty much anyone can at least half way learn to tune a VAFC a little bit although I'm not saying they can't be used to fine tune. VAFC is just more user friendly in some aspects.

Here's an anology you may find useful: tuning with a VAFC, when compared to a full standalone, is like tuning with a blindfold on. Take the blindfold off, and you'll not only be able to do more, but you'll feel a whole lot more comfortable doing it.

what about the safc, or whatever. you can't use piggy back tuning if you want to boost 9 psi?

i looked at your dyno, bigpurp geeze 327 to the wheels? thats crazy so you have aem ems, invidia, and vortech supercharger? how'd you get up up to 327? because of the tuning?

- my friend dyno'd 290 with just a supercharger slapped on...
- with an exhaust it will probably raise ~20
- so im pretty sure its easy with bigger injectors and something to tune the motor with...
