Default VAFC VTEC controller

Is it smart and would I benefit from using an Apexi VAFC VTEC controller with a stock engine? Or should I wait till I get more mods? Or are these even safe to use and would it hurt my car in any way in the future or over time?

wait until you have some mods to make the most of it. i say after I/E then you should see some good gains from it.

Oh,ok. Actually, I already have a drop in comptech sponge air filter with CF cooling plate w/ airbox scoop. Would the K&N one be better? Also, what do you think of this setup I wanna get my exhaust: I was thinking of getting a customed straight single 3 inch piping exhaust with an Apex N1 muffler with 3 inch inlet and 4 inch tip along with a test pipe. I heard this muffler is for 3 inch piping, but can also be used with 2.5 or 2.75 piping as well. Is this true? Will I gain power with wider piping and converting to a single exhaust if I still have a stock engine? Or should I stick with stock's 2.5 or go up to 2.75 inch with this muffler? As of now, I still have a stock header and will for a while until I can afford a better header. I just dont want to lose any power with this setup with my current N/A engine. I heard this muffler is one of the deepest sounding and can gain decent power. What you think?
