are there any downsides to this? (while still being in spec of course) I recently got a valve adjustment and although much more responsive at mid-->high rpm, it seems to bog more and lower rpm and there is more engine vibration that I can feel

 

Possible, was it done cold? Try an ecu reaet

 

Tight but within range is ok.

 

Sorry to revive a 2 month old post but it saves me making a new one!

I to adjusted my valves to the tight side of the spec, moderate amount of drag on the feeler with .008 intake and .0010 exhaust.

The car does seem tiny bit more responsive and it runs silent on idle but im paranoid im going to burn a valve after reading all the posts on here!

How often should i check them with them being on the tight side of the spec? Or should I adjust them alittle?
