Default Valve adjustments

OK, this isn't really aboutthe S2000. My friend's Integra got stolen over the weekend and they found it. The engine is fine,a nd I was thinking of buying it off of him to swap into my Civic since he doesn't think its worth the money to fix it and is gonna get rid of the car anyways. But, a while ago, his timing belt snapped and his valve timing is screwed up. Now, it makes a weird whizzing sound when he drives.

How much would it cost to fix it? Is the engine still good if the timing belt snapped (is it worth fixing)?

Check to see if the pistons have slammed into the valves.

This should go in CAR TALK.
