Are the primary and secondary cam lobes the same? The OEM cams have staggered lift on the primary and secondary lobes.

The primary and secondary cam lobes are not the same.... they are staggered also... the only difference is the cams lobes are bigger......

ttt

Just out of curiosity, have we seen the before/after dyno charts for a properly tuned set of these Toda Stage 2 cams?

Sorry peeps,
The place that dynos my car is moving the dyno to another slot........... it will take at least a week for them to reinstall the damn thing..............
I have recently changed out the mugen setup with the TODA setup and have noticed a different......butt tells everything is good......
There is another place that offers dyno services around my area but to stay consistent with previous measurements I would be better off waiting for the dyno to be reinstalled..........
waiting and anticipation is a Bi@#h isn't it.........

What "mugen setup" did you have that was replaced with Toda?

Well I basically replaced the Mugen header with the TODA header and replaced the exhaust with a more 'freeflowing exahust'

Okay. I've had mine in for about a week now. I have not dyno'd yet as it is a bit difficult to coordinate time off from work right now (very busy these days). But here's my first impressions:

Of course, mid-range is much stronger. The power past 3k ramps up much quicker. I no longer feel as though the power plateaus between 4-5k. 3k-6k is very strong. At 6k VTEC kicks on like a switch and pulls hard. I'm not sure about top end power. After 7k it is either less of a power gain or no power gain. It may just be the mid is so strong I don't notice the top, but the dyno will tell the real story (this is also where torque falls off so it makes sense to not "feel it" as much). Below 3k has been a little boggy which I would expect with aggressive cams, esp. on this motor. But the last day or so it hasn't been so bad, so I think the ECU might be figuring these cams out.

Side note about tuning: UL suggested that my car seemed a little rich last time I dyno'd and I would expect the situation to be the same or worse with these cams. I have no computer to tune with, I am expecting to install an EMS in about a month. At any rate tuning should help alot, and to me the car bogs and pops as if it was a tad rich. Also my valves are very loud when the motor is warm and has been driven so I think the adjustment needs to be double checked.

Beroz - have you been driving yours much? I have a couple hundred miles on mine now. I'm curious what your impressions and opinions of what I've felt are...
