Ok I am lowered on Espelirs, have been for about 1.5 months, last week I put on new rims and tires, the problem is the back left tire, IT IS NOT RUBBING on the fender, however upon acceleration the back left wheel is Vibrating badly

If I am at a steady mph it is fine, the second I give it some gas to accelerate it vibrates badly.

I have yet to get an alignment, I dunno if that is the problem. the first day I noticed it, it was a small vibration, I thought it was my tire rubbing when I went WOT and the back end squatted down, but this is not the case

Do you think they botched up the balancing and this is what could be causing it?

I am going to go to the place that put my tires on and ask them in the morning but I want to see if anyone knows what it could be?

 

um yea...if it's only vibrating at a certain speed, it's most likely the wheels...weren't you lowered when you had OEM wheels? if so, and the only thing that's changed is the wheels, yea it's the balance, IMO

 

i say take it off and inspect it. look at the hub and everything.

 

yea after some research I think its the Inner CV joint that went bad, all the tell tale signs, only my driver side and only under acceleration, I guess its common with these cars, I do have 91,000 miles on the beast

Joey, I too am lowered on espiliers( and have been for about 4 months), and I'm pretty sure that its the cv cup. On mine under semi hard to hard excellaration I get a slight vibration and when I plane off to a constant speed or lift of of the gas peddle the vibration stops. Mine occurs more upon hard excellaration from about 65 up to around 77mph. Good luck in finding the problem!

 

Get the R1 Drive Shaft spacers and problem solved. I am doing so my self.

 

well I fixed the vibration now my steering wheel is all cock-eyed and my right side sits a tad lower what did I do wrong?
