That really blows if you paid for an AP1 flywheel and install and wound up with an AP2 flywheel. I'd demand that they pull it back out and replace it with the proper one as you didn't get what you paid for. IMO It's a pretty big difference and there is a definite difference in the drivability of the car with an AP1 vs AP2 flywheel.

Just checked my car, I can easily see into the bell housing and see the flywheel. You can use a coat hanger or tiny screw driver to feel the margin.

I'm sure Jordan can second my input on this, I think he sees enough S2000 flywheels.

I definitely second Billman. If that's the very flywheel they installed, then you have an AP2 flywheel in your car and not an AP1.

And just to reiterate, this is an AP1 flywheel. You can see how the center where the pilot bearing is, is relatively flat all the way across until the friction surface. The AP2's weight difference comes from this area being much thicker and only recessed where the flywheel washer/bolts and pilot bearing go.
