The sensors on the brake rotor area usually get dirty or damaged if you change wheels or even worse, a bad shop changes your wheels.

I bet there was nothing wrong with your modulator, you just needed a $100 sensor.

$1900 is not a HORRIBLE price. I got a deal on my CRV for $1300, but it was a brand new car, and I bought it when I bought the car. If you buy it later on, it costs more.
Mine is "aftermarket" but through the credit union where I work...

I got 60k on top of what my mileage was for $1000, $0 deductible bumper to bumper. $1900 seems ridiculous, even if it's from Honda.

As cynical as I might be about dealer service and their incentives to do various repair work, I would be surprised that this 5-Star rated dealer would hold me up for over a week and spend $1900 in Honda Money if it could have been repaired in a day with $100 in parts.

This is one of the highest rated dealers in Texas, I've bought many vehicles from them, they said they had to go to Honda Level-2 technical support (or whatever they called it) in order to resolve the full problem, and they covered it at no cost to me.

At this point, it would be hard to convince me that they did not solve the right problem.

No shop has changed the wheels, the car is spotless with less than 7k miles so I don't think it's dirty sensors, and I don't think I'm being scammed.

Maybe I'm gullible, but this looks like Honda stepped up to the bar and took care of my problem. Zero dollars out of my pocket makes me an easy mark.
