S2klariat, don't just sit there and let the car idle, you're not helping anything. fire it up, wait a few seconds, and drive.
Something about my car idling at 2000rpms with the air pump still going off and driving it, that gets to me. No way in hell.

sorry, but I'm with S2klariat. I'm actually more anal then he is. I will not drive my car unless my car is at normal operating temperature.

Some of you would really cry if you knew what any car I DD (now my S) has to put up with lol. Im a volunteer Firefighter, when that pager goes off there isn't time to sit and let it idle to warm up. Now i don go bouncing it off the rev limiter on the way to the fire house, but i get in it, start, buckle my seatbelt and go. (half throttle and 5k shifts until it warms up on the way to the Firehouse)
A lot of you guys really need to get off your high horse about this stuff. The S is a different kind of car than what most people have driven before. Also, believe it or not, most people don't know a hell of a lot about the workings of internal combustion engines, especially of the performance variety.
So when weird stuff happens the new S owner will come here and ask a question. Well, isn't that what this place is for? Yeah, I know, "SEARCH". That's a fair point except 50% of the time this site's search engine doesn't work, and when it does work, the results are not particularly great. Yeah, I know, "Google site:". Fine, but like with engines, most people don't know all the little Google tricks, either.
Calm down and cut people some slack.
