VTEC kick isnt brutal...
Hello evryone , quick description of my problem.
-Idle , i lose sometime like 100 rpm so the car shake a bit.
-The VTEC isnt "brutal" at all , its really soft when the VTEC kick (always).
-Sometime in full acceleration especially in VTEC range, the rpm stall around 7k(not all the times) then it comeback normal , stall at 8000rpm .. etc ..
-The performance of the engine are not too good definetly even a stock Prelude beat me..well almost equal.
Its an 00 , whit CAI whit 70 000kms, they changed IAC valve (280$) last week ,problem not solved.
I saw description of some other members whit similar problem it look like its the MAP SENSOR.
What you think ?
Thanks.

dont quote me on this, but before i would of had that iac valve replaced, i would have done the good ol map whack. or maybe even a map sensor replacement. about 60 bucks at hardtopguy. tap the map sensor lightly with the handle of a screw driver, but not too hard.
I'm not sure I trust your measuring stick.
Straight line it's not that fast of a car. Particularly the 00-03's. It's not a light car and it doesn't have huge amounts of torque. The Prelude has a bigger motor than you do for one thing. 200 HP/160 ft/lbs torque. Torque's what gets you going off the line.
My Vtec transition's barely noticable because, I believe honda did a better job tuning the transition on the '2k than they did with my R motor. Sounds like MAP or you're dropping out of vtec because you're low on oil.

All of this has been covered before, maybe in other words.. but basically the same thing:

Most likely the ECU "learning" or adjusting to the weather => normal.
Don't tap the throttle.. let the ECU do its thing and it should become normal.
Like Ek9 mentioned.. Honda fine tuned
the VTEC transition.
Also.. keep oil level up!
Sounds like the "MAP wack" to me too.
Don't wack it to bits
When was the last time you serviced the engine / car?
Air filter, valve clearence, throttle cable slack, spark plugs, oil change (gearbox + diff also).
There is more, look in your owners manual.
How are your shifting techniques?
Do you shift to late (hit the rev limiter) or to soon (don't reach the max HP / torque)
This is what I think

Thanks for your opinions guys..
i have the car since 2002 and know something wrong, im a maintenance maniac evryting is fine (oil,Air filters..), gotta change that map sensor this week or clean up the contact maybe , not a big $$ risk anyways.
i had to change the IAC valve because i had a check engine light whit the code 14 and a very buggy idle , 1500-1900 rpm, like if i push quickly trothle and release...sounds i had 2 problem at the ame time .
thanks !
