VTEC Not Kicking in Hard
Well, I am about to pick up a '05 S2k. The last one I drove, an '04, the VTEC would kick in really hard. It would seem like a totally different car when it hit.
In this car, when the VTEC kicks in, it's not that noticeable. Seems like the car is very linear and it doesn't have the jolt like the other S2k's I've driven.
I'm thinking of switching out the spark plugs and adding some fuel injector cleaner/additive. Maybe even Seafoam.
Anyone have any suggestions on what kind of fuel cleaner I should get?
Any other things I should replace/change or look at to combat this issue?
What spark plugs do you recommend?
I've had the car inspected and engine is all good and so is everything else. Maybe a bad batch of gas as well?
Thanks in advance.

No, it doesn't really have anything other than a grounding kit.
I'm going to change the oil very soon. Along with spark plugs and I will add some Techron fuel additive. If nothing happens, then I will take it to the dealer for the solenoid.
Are OEM Honda Sparkplugs the best?

Hmm I have only v-teced in second gear. I don't really feel a boost, but maybe that's because I am not switching from second into third. (Just tried to test it without going insanely over the speed limit)
I have a 2004 and the transition seemed smooth and unnoticeable besides the engine making the noise of it spinning faster.
Edit: Actually now that I think about it, it might because my oil is low (Below the dipstick x's) but the check oil light is not on. I just checked my oil tonight and need to fill it up tonight before I go out driving again. (I bought it from the dealer 2 weeks ago)
