Vtec Oil Pressure Sensor Broken
i recently broke the sensor test fitting my manifold and turbo looking for wire clearances. i know its not used with aem ecu but rn before my guages come i left stock computer in. my sensor isnt even all the way broken just the plastic that the plug clamps too but even when i tried taping it im running un limp mode. will sticking a wire on both ends of the sensor wire to close the circuit trcik the ecu or what can i do to get out of limp mode without replacing sensor.
ok because idk how to delete a post ill just reply to help anyone else if they have this problem. i figured out that i was able to fool the sensor by placing a wire into the plug connecting both sides. idk if it opens/ closes it but i know the sensor doesnt even engage vtec, just makes sure oul pressure is high enough so without the sensor car runs really rich and does not rev past 6k. this worked for me didnt even need to reset ecu. it did go back into limp mode his morning after banging gears for a bit but i think the wire just came loose. so this is a quick fix for anyone wanting to maybe block off oul pressure sensor before replacing ecu or like me if you broke it test fitting manifolds etc.
