VTEC Solenoid Leak
My VTEC solenoid has had a slow oil leak since I got my car several years ago. I've replaced both gaskets, twice, and it just keeps right on leaking. I've read that the solenoid itself can cause a leak, so I'm assuming that's my issue at this point.
What's the go-to S2ki approved VTEC Solenoid leak remedy? Is a replacement OEM solenoid best (even though that's what's leaking now)? Skunk2 makes a billet solenoid that looks like OEM sensors screw into is that a safe option?

Yep like said above, make sure it is not the VTEC pressure switch above it. Common leak. Pull the connector and see if you see oil in there. They can leak around them too but mine leaked right through the switch into the connector when it failed.
...and if so, you'll want to clean out all that oil, so it doesn't soak into rubber and ruin connector rubber sheath.
Also, those rubber lines right below vtec area, those are the oil cooler lines. So its coolant inside going to cool oil (as well as heat oil when warming up. Coolant heats up faster than oil, but more important for oil to warm up).
If contaminated with oil, these lines will swell, rubber weaken, eventually burst. Coolant loss, which could overheat engine, potentially destroying it.
So its worth taking seriously. Clean off any oil leaked onto any rubber hoses anywhere ever. If you get it before it soaks in, you're good. If not, plan to replace these hoses.

Yep those look ok. If oil sits on them long enough due to a leak, you will see that over time they will swell and show kind of a bubble in that area where the rubber is breaking down. If you notice the leak right away and clean it up and fix it, one can probably just monitor over time but if it has had oil sitting on it long it is a good idea to replace. Super easy to replace and bleed the system vs it leaving you stuck somewhere. I literally saw it on mine and thought "I need to order that hose" and promptly let my squirrel brain run amuck and forgot, costing me a failure later

I've found the Kraken gaskets to be of high quality, Ballade and other cheap ones will leak again shortly.
Also make sure you replace all three gaskets. 2 are available by Kraken and one I think is still available via the dealerships.
