which washer do i replace for diff. flush?
I was wondering which crush washer i needed to replace when doing a differential fluid change. I went to the dealer and the database showed two different crush washer that go on the rear diff, a copper colored one and a silver one. I went ahead and bought both, so which one is it??
also do i replace the filler plug washer or drain plug washer?? or both??

Don't over torque them and you can use them many times.
I replace them at each fluid replacement as their crushing action helps me gauge when the plug is sufficiently tightened. As a practical matter they can be re-used a few times, but they are inexpensive enough to replace each time.

I think my friend used his crush washer a few too many times ...
Hmm.....
When I asked for a diff fill & drain washer I got 2 the same aluminum washers.
Part # 90471-PX4-000.
They both fitted no problem.
Is there a specific reason to use a copper one for the filler bolt?
The fill & drain washer on the gearbox are both aluminum right?
Different sizes there.

As you can see from this site, they are different part numbers:

(click on part number 24 and 25)
All other washers (oil drain, tranny drain and fill) are aluminum.
