Probably nothing on this board about the Weapon R because it sucks. Ugly, and sucks in hot air. BTW, its not a CAI... Save up and get an Injen or AEM CAI.
I wouldn't necessarilly go so far as to say that without a dyno to support your conclusions...at least with the unit pictured below. The ducting is a Weapon R option now. I realize for those that own the AEM and INJEN, many of you guys feel this is the only way to get the best results from an intake (locating the filter down low) but Comptech, K&N and more importantly (in my case), PRM believe otherwise. Truth be told, they probably all are within 2-3 hp of each other but it's nonsense to think just because the filter isn't near the ground, it's a hot air intake. My PRM is phenominal. A stand alone filter in that location without protection of some sort? You bet....it's going to be a hot air intake but there are definitely more options than simply the standard "buy an AEM or INJEN." None are true CAI's anyway. The good thing about the K&N and PRM is there's no cutting involved or removing of the front bumper which seems to be the case for the AEM and INJEN intakes. I've seen dyno's of the new K&N and it was right there with the others and the PRM I can tell you from first hand experience, is as good an intake as anything available for the S2000. After modifying mine several times, it seems the most impressive results come from the way it was intended to be used...with the horn funneling the air into the filter housed in the casing. After several hard runs in my car, I have put my hand inside the casing and the temps were CONSIDERABLY cooler than around it, which leads me to believe it works as advertised. All I know is at speeds above 50mph, the car runs like a cat in an earthquake!
