Thumbs up Weird

So, I re-greased my shifter on the weekend because it was getting stuck in the down position. Before I did this I thought the reason for it getting stuck, was due to moisture in the shifter. However when I removed the shifter I noticed there was a pool of rusty water. So I sponged it all up with paper towel and re-lubed the bushings with high heat grease. The shifter is working again but I don't want that much water to get in there again. I am taking my car into Honda tmr for an oil change should I mention the water build up to them? or how can I fix it?

There should be NO water in there at all. Get them find out why the water is getting in and have them fix it.
