Default Weird bogging

so ive had this car for a while now, and its only done this maybe twice in 7 months or so. But when driving, sometimes the car will seem like it wants to bog under acceleration. it goes away shortly after. The most recent time I turned the car off at a light and it struggled to turn on, then it was completely fine after that. Im thinking possibly a clogged fuel filter? Unfortunately its harder to diagnose and issue that does not happen and im not sure if it will ever happen again. But looking for any opinions please

Air filter was just changed. Im not sure about the spark plugs to be honest. I was told they were changed right before I bought the car, which was 5k miles ago

Hey,

Out of curiosity, does this feel like you have suddenly become a novice manual driver and the car begins to bunny hop?

I sometime gets this and i have clutch in and out to get the car behaving normally. Applying more throttle almost makes it worse without clutching.

Is it hot where you live? Welcome to the wonderful world of S2000 heat soak and accompanying ECU timing pull. Happens a lot, especially when it's hot and you've been sitting in traffic for a minute. A lot of people have this issue, the causes are many, the fixes are many, some people throw the kitchen sink at the problem and still have it. Car could need engine work, worn ECU, clogged fuel injectors, heat soaked battery, bad gas(more common than you think), spark plugs(not properly tightened), coil packs, wiring issues, MAP issues, dirty throttle body, dirty IAC and that's just for non DBW cars.

How old is the battery? Maybe, start with new plugs. Relative cheap and you'll definitely know what mileage you have on them. Torque to 22-24 ft-lbs. I use NGK Platinum or comparable Iridium plugs in my Honda cars.
