Thumbs up Weird noise during start up

when i start my car i get this weird noise that sounds like im trying to start it again. i turn the key and press the button, the car starts, and right when it starts i hear this noise. the noise happens for about 1sec and i never hear it while the car is on. it only happens sometimes and i think im getting pattern where it only happens during a cold start. is it something i should worry about?

I'd guess that it's your timing chain tensioner. Do a search, and you will find plenty of info on the subject.

Once in a while (usually colder days) I get a Screech on start up. Time to do some searching...

Mine has the exact same problem. Doesn't happen on every cold start but happens occasionally if on cold starts when I havent' driven the car in a while. Can someone confirm that it could be the timing chain tensioner? I don't recall the timing chain tensioner problem having these symptoms.

Noone can rightfully diagnose this as a bad timing chain tensioner. It's more likely that your starter motor drive gear is not pulling back in soon enough once the engine catches. It could also mean that the start button is making a second contact after the engine catches.
